I don't normally announce my new plants any more, since I realized that so
many boxes get planted each day, but I'll make an exception for these two
because (a) they're in an area with few boxes, and (b) an area that's
enjoying a brief January thaw! So, all you Quad-Citians and nearby
Iowa/Illinois residents, get out there and find "Deer on the Bluff" in Loud
Thunder Forest Preserve (IL) and "Scott County Park Deer" in (you guessed
it) Scott County Park (IA). Both of these are moderate hikes of 1-2 hours on
lightly used foot/mt. bike paths.
